Explore the previewWhat is saypouch?
saypouch is a voice notebook by BOXLET s.r.o. for iPhone, with an Apple Watch companion app. It brings together audio, personal notes and optional AI transcripts and summaries.
Is the app publicly available?
The app is in preparation and no release date has been announced. Pricing now describes the planned subscriptions and extra-minute packs; purchases are not available yet.
What is this website for?
saypouch.com is a public information website. It does not record audio, sign users into a notebook or take payments. The previews use fictional data.
Where are recordings and notes stored?
Data is stored locally on the iPhone and, when syncing is enabled, in the user’s private iCloud. Apple Watch copies and separate exports are managed independently.
When is content sent to AI?
Only after Sign in with Apple and explicit approval for a specific recording. A transcript and the selected Overview sections are created. Details about processing and providers are in the legal information.
Does the server store recording content?
The saypouch server does not save recording audio or text to a database or files. It handles them during the AI request and keeps technical metadata for sign-in, permissions and limits. Suppliers have their own retention rules; we do not promise zero retention.
What works without internet?
Recording and working with saved local content. AI transcription and summaries require internet.
What is in a recording’s detail view?
Two tabs: Overview and Transcript. Before AI processing, choose a brief summary, key points, decisions, tasks and deadlines, and open questions. A transcript is always created; the selected outputs appear as separate Overview sections alongside your own note. There is no separate Tasks tab.
How do backups differ from sharing?
A password-protected backup includes audio and notes. Sharing audio sends only the audio file and does not create an encrypted backup.
Which languages does the app support?
Czech, English, Slovak, German and Polish. Choose a language in Settings or use the device language option. Apple system dialogs follow the iOS language.
Which languages do transcription and AI Overview support?
The recording language is independent of the app language. The transcript stays in the original language; the default From recording option creates the Overview and automatic title in the recording’s main language. You can also choose Czech, English, Slovak, German or Polish for the Overview. We have carried out basic transcription and Overview tests in these five languages. Multilingual AI processing does not guarantee an error-free result: quality depends on the language and audio. We do not have a documented complete language list or guaranteed count for the current OpenAI model, so we do not promise one. The app interface remains available in five languages.
Does saypouch support iPhone Duo?
Yes. A closed phone uses a clear single-screen layout. Open like a book, recording or the list is on the left and notes or the detail on the right. In laptop posture, recording or the detail is above the list. Detail edits and recording are preserved when changing posture.
Can I save a recording Overview as PDF?
In the detail Overview, choose Export Overview as PDF and save it to Files. The PDF includes the title, date, duration, category, completed Overview sections and your note. It is created locally without a new AI request; it excludes audio and the full transcript field, is not password-protected and is not a restorable backup.
How can I start recording faster?
Use the saypouch widget, a control in Control Center or on the Lock Screen, or an Apple Watch face complication. These open the same recorder as the app and do not start AI processing. On a supported iPhone, you can assign the Start recording shortcut to the Action button. Availability depends on the system and device; iOS may require unlocking and microphone permission.
Does saypouch have to stay open during AI processing?
You can close the recording detail and switch to another app. Already confirmed AI processing can continue for as long as iOS allows. iOS 26 and later support extended continuation; earlier supported versions provide limited background time. The system, connection loss or force-quitting the app may interrupt the work. If the result is uncertain, saypouch does not automatically upload the audio again; check the status and confirm any new attempt.
Can I create an event or reminder from a recording?
In the recording detail, choose Create from recording, then Add to Reminders or Add to Calendar. Select text and edit the title, note and optional date. saypouch does not infer a deadline or assignee from the text. You save an event in the system Calendar editor; saypouch does not read your calendar. Reminders requires full iOS permission only when you explicitly save. A reminder without a chosen date has no deadline; choose a date before creating an event.
Can I add audio from Files?
In Settings Recordings, choose Import audio and select a file from Files. MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, AIFF and CAF: up to 23 MB and 47 minutes. Check the name and duration, then tap Import. The original file stays unchanged; AI does not start. In an audio file’s share sheet, choose saypouch and Prepare for import. Then open Settings Recordings Finish audio import in saypouch. Pending imports stay on the device until you confirm or cancel them. Finish recording and any AI processing first.
Can I find recordings through iPhone search?
You can enable iPhone search in Settings. It is off by default. Spotlight receives only local recording titles and categories, not audio, transcripts or notes. Results may be visible outside saypouch. Enabling App lock clears the index and the app displays removal status; this preference does not sync between devices.
Can I lock saypouch?
Enable App lock in Settings Privacy and security. Enabling and disabling it requires system authentication; on returning, unlock the app with Face ID, Touch ID or your iPhone passcode, depending on your device. The lock is off by default. When enabled, it also hides the app-switcher preview. It does not stop ongoing recording or already confirmed AI processing. The lock applies only to this iPhone and does not protect files already exported.
